This week we got Demons Age for PS4, Ori and the Will of the Wisps for Xbox One and Donkey Kong Country for Switch.
Demons Age (£7.99) for PS4
Whenever a game drops below the magical border of £10 it’s worth taking a closer look. Even if it’s something you normally wouldn’t play. Demons Age for PS4 is one of those games, currently available for £7.99 at base.com.
This turn based RPG is set in the style of the old classics like Baldur’s Gate and Dungeons and Dragons. The game allows you to choice a character from four different races, each with their own pro’s and con’s. You level up, get new skills and fight your way through hordes of demons.. Hence the title.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps for (£14.97) Xbox One
Yes, we know. This game was available for Xbox Live Game pass but for anyone that wants Ori and the Will of the Wisps as a physical edition, Currys.co.uk is now selling the game for the lowest price yet. The game is available for £14.97. What’s even more incredible is that the game came out only two months ago!
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a direct sequel to the 2015 title Ori and the Blind Forest. Both games had great reception and are Xbox One exclusives. Something the Xbox could use more of if we could say..
Both Ori games are platform-adventures in the style of Metroidvania. As inline with Metroidvania games, you can unlock new skills and upgrade them throughout the game. You play as Ori, a white guardian spirit, who needs to solve difficult puzzles, all while climbing, jumping and swimming you way to the end.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (£19.99) for Nintendo Switch
Look at this.. A Nintendo Switch game from Nintendo themselves that drops below the £20 mark!
Officially a Wii U title, the game didn’t really get much attention until the re-release on the Nintendo Switch a couple of years ago but is regard as a great Donkey Kong title and an overall good platformer. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Nintendo Switch is currently being sold for £19.99 at go2games.co.uk.
